GOSPORT ROTARY CLUB ART EXHIBITION AT GOSPORT GALLERY

Rotary art 1

Gosport Rotary in conjunction with The Southern Co-operative have arranged an art exhibition of local artists at Gosport Gallery featuring the best 100 items covering art, ceramics, woodcraft and photography, starting January 28th - March 17th 2012. Out of 100's of entries the best 100 were chosen and are on display at the Gallery for a month, during which time visitors can vote for their favourite piece, and the item with most votes will win a special prize. Most of the items are also for sale, so you can decorate your living room with a piece of genuine original local artwork.

   Fun Facts
By volume, the ocean makes up 99 percent of the planet's living space -- the largest space in our universe known to be inhabited by living organisms.

The planet's deepest spot is the Mariana Trench in the Pacific floor, six miles deep. For comparison, Mt. Everest is five miles high! The average depth of the ocean is about two miles.

Earth's largest continuous mountain chain is the Mid-Ocean Ridge, stretching for 40,000 miles, rising above the surface of the water in a few places, such as Iceland.
